Corinne JohnsonExecutive Director | Director of Legislative & Policy Initiatives
Corinne is a mother of five and a seasoned nonprofit leader with extensive experience in organizational development, legislative advocacy, and policy reform.
Over the course of her career, Corinne has built and led multiple mission-driven organizations, developing sustainable nonprofit infrastructure, building coalitions, and translating grassroots concerns into effective policy solutions. Her work has included serving as a Senior Policy Advisor, along with direct legislative advocacy and lobbying efforts that have contributed to the passage of dozens of laws and policy reforms protecting children and families. As Executive Director of the Child First Policy Center, Corinne leads organizational strategy and operations, while also directing the Center’s legislative and policy work—overseeing advocacy efforts, coalition engagement, and the advancement of child-protective reforms at the state and federal levels. |
Dina Alexander, MSCOMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
Dina leads communications and research translation at the Child First Policy Center, turning complex policy and research into clear, persuasive materials for parents, policymakers, and the public. She is the founder of Educate and Empower Kid sand the author of more than 15 books on child development, online safety, and media literacy, including multiple Amazon bestsellers used nationwide.
With over a decade of experience as a child-safety advocate, Dina brings deep subject-matter expertise and lived parental insight to CFPC’s work, ensuring policy solutions are accessible and grounded in real-world impact. |
Sarah SanchezCOMMUNITY OUTREACH DIRECTOR
Sarah leads community outreach and parent engagement at the Child First Policy Center, ensuring child-protective policy is informed by real family experiences. She is the founder of Tame Your Tech, where she works with parents, educators, and professionals to help families set healthy technology boundaries and strengthen real-world connection. Through media-mindfulness groups, public presentations, and parent education, Sarah translates research and policy into practical, community-level change. At CFPC, she bridges policy and lived experience—amplifying parent voices and mobilizing families to support child-centered solutions.

Melissa McKayPolicy Director
Melissa leads research, accountability, and enforcement at the Child First Policy Center, ensuring child-protective laws are implemented—not just passed. She is the founder of the Digital Childhood Institute and a nationally respected advocate for accountability in the digital age.
Over the past decade, she has led three national online safety movements, helped draft and pass six child safety bills, authored comprehensive FTC complaints against Apple and Google, and is a published author and mother of five. |
Kathleen BarlowAdministrative Support & Coalition Manager
Kathleen is a mother of six and former middle and high school teacher who became an advocate after witnessing the harms caused by excessive digital technology use.
She serves on the leadership team of Smartphone Free Childhood US, is a Screen Strong Ambassador, and participates in the Screens in Schools working group through the Screen Time Action Network and Fairplay. |

Allie is a parent advocate and co-founder of G-Rated Schools, a movement focused on protecting children’s well-being in educational environments. She leads relationship-based legislative engagement, coalition coordination, and policymaker outreach, ensuring parent voices are represented where decisions are made.

Liz is a dedicated parent advocate who believes parents are the best champions for children’s learning and well-being. As a mother of four, she has been actively involved in her children’s schools, serving as PTA Treasurer, Secretary, and an elected member of the School Community Council. Her hands-on experience in school leadership grounds her commitment to policies that support families and put kids first.

With over ten years of nonprofit experience, she is known for building the infrastructure—operations, communications, and digital systems—that helps organizations grow and succeed. She is also a mother of six, bringing a strong parent perspective to her work protecting children.

Liddy JohnsonYouth Ambassador
Liddy is a 17-year-old high school senior and survivor of social media addiction who brings a critical youth perspective to child safety policy. She has testified before Utah House and Senate committees in support of social media regulation and is pursuing a career in healthcare. Liddy currently works as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
